”Wonder Twin” is a female Adelie penguin that experienced feather-loss. This can affect penguins in their natural habitats as well as in the wild. Penguins have special feathers that help to keep water away from the skin and to insulate their bodies. SeaWorld aviculture team created a specialty wetsuit which regulated Wonder Twin’s body temperature and stimulated feather growth. Wonder Twin no longer needs her wetsuit!
